Andreas Lobe is a documentary photographer based in Reutlingen, Germany. His work focuses on the social environment as well as architecture that characterizes our relationship with nature. In the 1990s he spent long stays in the crisis-ridden Kosovo. A 1994 exhibition opened in Hiroshima, a half-century after the atomic bomb was dropped on the city. A collaboration developed among photographers in such magazines as the Süddeutsche Zeitung. Commissions for Focus, the Mirror and the Merian followed. Storm Stories, published in 1999 is a documentary collection about wind power. In the same year Lobe began freelancing at Zeitenspiegel.
